Author & Activist Bill McKibben '82 on Why Harvard Divested

The Harvard-Radcliffe Club of Vermont is doing a Zoom talk with author and activist Bill McKibben '82 from 7-8 p.m. on October 20.  Bill will share the inside story of how the decade-long divestmet campaign led by students and alumni culminated in President Bacow's recent historic announcement that Harvard will end its investments in fossil fuels. McKibben, who helped launch the global fossil fuel divestment capaign in 2012, is the author of numerous books, a regular contributor to the New Yorker, founder of the climate action group 350.org, and winner of the Right Livelihood Award, know as the alternative Nobel Prize. Discussionwill be moderated by journalist David Goodman '82.
